Some owners have used a gas soaked rag to help the truck to initially fire up, but this takes two people and the one holding the rag needs to make sure it does not get sucked into the intake. S Stroker1981 Webb12 maj 2024 · Checked while running alternator is kicking out 14.3. But it is slow to crank, but catches and then starts. This is not normal for the truck. Grounds are all done, I am wondering if its the starter relay or the starter solenoid itself. Usually a slow cranking of the starter would indicate a low charged battery or the battery not taking a charge.

Most of the time it just require me to turn the key to run position momentarily. Some time I need to hold the key switch 1-2 seconds before it will turn over. No grinding.
