I would grind the weld off pull the yoke off and take it apart from there. Then i would replace that old junky hack and tap kit with a actually big spline NP231 SYE. And as Rhinoss surmised, you just cut the OE shaft off and tap it for a bolt that holds the new u-joint yoke which is pretty easily done. jeremy hutchins and andrew davila
