If the drums plastic walls are thick enough you could probably tap a hole and thread a threaded fitting, I've done it with 1" pvc holding 40 psi of air. I know that, but these leaked the first time I put them on the way they were supposed to (no tape, no seal, only gasket) . I think those are made of Poly, I will look for some heavier duty PVC ones.
